I met PH through George Tulloch in 1995, I was 20 years old and just bringing my research out on lecture circuits. Not only did he encourage me to continue with the work, but he also gave me 2 photos from his expeditions to Titanic for use in my presentations. Over the years, we congratulated one another for individual accomplishments and also sent letters of encouragement in the times of challenge and hardship. His memory will remain not only through my research, but also a special circle of friends. To help further my work, PH introduced me to fellow historians and explorers. While I’ve openly thanked him in each lecture, it was that sparkle in the eye and conversation starter that helped me become a better historian. Thank you my friend, rest easy and know you’re never forgotten.
