I never had the privilege of meeting PH in person, but I have long admired him from his appearances in Titanic documentaries. In interviews his respect for the Titanic wreck, and his fascination with Titanic herself, was always readily apparent. His passing is an immense loss to the Titanic community, and I want to express my deep gratitude to PH for his many missions to Titanic. He is a singular figure among those who allowed us, through video footage and recovered artifacts, to experience Titanic’s story in a new and deeply meaningful way. I mourn his loss, and I am keeping his family and friends in my prayers.
