A remarkable and charming man. I must have met him back in the late 1970s when I was checking out the submersible Nautile, while operations manager for InterSub – International Submarine Services of Marseille, but alas, I cannot recall a conversation with him. But all my deep diving submarine friends, French and American, liked and admired him and that’s about the highest accolade there can be. May you rest in peace brave soul.
