Melinda shared…

I was blessed to meet Mr. Nargeolet at a speaking engagement in Flint, MI following a viewing of the Titanic Exhibition at the Sloan Museum. I have read about his adventures for so many years and was very excited to hear him in person. When he spoke of the lives lost in the Titanic disaster and the tremendous loss that those families faced, he was so reverent and gentle. When he spoke of the technology and exploration that he helped to make a reality, his eyes sparkled and danced like a child’s. He visited with a handful of us for nearly an hour after his presentation. When it was time to say goodbye, he let me hug him and declared that we were all now friends and part of his Titanic family. He had no idea how very special that was for me. I will treasure this memory forever. I am so very, deeply sorry for your loss!!
