i have been enamored with titanic since i was a very young child, and ph’s work has been so very special to me for so many years. the world gained so much knowledge through his research, and you could tell he was truly happy doing what he did. he never let science swallow up the ordinary folks who were on titanic, either. he made sure their stories were told and that they were viewed as human beings rather than statistics. i will always look up to ph nargeolet and the immense passion he had for titanic, as well as the compassion and love he had for the thousands of people who were personally affected by the tragedy. he truly is and always will be an absolutely wonderful treasure to the world, and i am so grateful that we got to experience him. i am sending all my love and prayers to ph’s family, friends, and loved ones. the world knows him as an incredibly gifted and intelligent oceanographer, but he is also a man with a family who knows him more closely than anyone else, and my heart aches for those lovely people. i hope they know ph’s memory and legacy will live on in the hearts of many, and his research and discoveries will live on in history and science for generations to come. je suis de tout cœur avec toi.
